Evropski imaginarni simbolizmi. Kritički pristup izučavanju Balkana

Resumen

Odnosi između Balkana i onoga što se naziva Zapadna Evropa definisani su evrocentrizmom koji ističe periferni položaj ovog prostora i njegovu diskursivnu izgradnju kao „neke druge“ Evrope. Balkan, kao geografski prostor, određivan je vansvog vremena i konteksta da bi potom bio zamenjen stereotipnim predstavama zasnovanim na istorijskom nasleđu koje je ovom prostoru dalo poseban karakter.

Putem dinamika inkluzije i ekskluzije koje se odvijaju u okviru procesa izgradnje Evropske unije, stvorene su takve uporne predstave o ovom prostoru, koje su smestile Balkan u limb dvosmislenosti u odnosu na njegovo pripadanjesimboličkom evropskom kontinentu.

Međutim, balkanske zemlje, svesne stereotipne slike koja ih prati, usvojile su izvesne predstave o sebi samima kako bi se međusobno razlikovale i projektovale u odnosu na Zapadnu Evropu.
